DRAGONS DREAM ROGER DEAN

The long-awaited sequel to Views and Magnetic Storm. The first two volumes chronicling the unique art and design of Roger Dean met with huge critical and popular success. Views (1975) went straight to number one in the Sunday Times best-seller list and went on to sell over a million copies. Magnetic Storm (1984) in turn sold over 650,000 copies. Dragons Dream completes the Dean trilogy. Conceived as a panoramic dreamscape, it encompasses album covers, paintings, and stage designs; logos and icons produced for computer game companies such as Psygnosis, Bullet Proof Software, Blue Planet Software, and Tetris; and concepts and visuals for movies. The picture is completed by Rogers visionary concepts for architectural projects, first seen in sketch and model form in Views, as prototypes in Magnetic Storm, and now fully realized in Dragons Dream, addressing the very topical issue of sustainability in the 21st century.
